Summer Shandy

As summer starts winding down, this Summer Shandy is the perfect pitcher to bring along for one last backyard BBQ, lake day, or evening with friends before the back-to-school season begins. Light, citrusy, and incredibly refreshing, it's one of those simple recipes that keeps everyone coming back for another glass.

Made with lemonade and light beer, it has the perfect balance of bright citrus flavor, crisp fizz, and a subtle beer finish. If you're looking for a little extra kick, you can easily add vodka, and using your favorite store-bought lemonade makes it even easier to throw together.

This easy crowd-pleaser is just in time for those final summer celebrations before backpacks replace beach bags.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups of vodka

  • 3 cups of light beer (I used Michelob Ultra)

  • 2 ¼ cups of lemonade

  • Lemon slices

  • Ice

Directions

  • In a pitcher, add ice, lemon slices, vodka and lemonade, and mix well.

  • Pour in the beer and mix gently. Serve with ice and lemon slices. Top the glass with more beer for a fizzier drink if desired.
