Packing Chaos, Croissants & Queen Bey: A Travel Prep Sunday
Today is a Slow-ish Sunday. 🧳
If you’ve been keeping up, you already know we’re in prep mode for our big trip across the pond. Yes, that trip: tea time, Queen Bey, buttery croissants, and vibes galore. But let’s be real… today is not as slow as I’d like it to be.
Instead of lounging in a robe with a face mask and a cup of coffee, I’m playing travel Tetris, packing all the bags, prepping the house, and trying not to forget anyone’s passport. It’s giving chaotic calm. But it’s all worth it because vacation mode is loading.
And yes, Beyoncé is playing in the background because if I’m going to be folding clothes and triple-checking checklists, I might as well do it like I’m in a world tour montage. A little “Run the World” while organizing carry-ons? Iconic. “Heated” while rolling up outfits? A whole mood.
If you need a soundtrack for your own travel prep chaos, I got you! Check out my Packing with Bey playlist.
Now, I swear by certain travel tips, but after every trip, I come back with a few new gems. So don’t worry, I’ll be spilling the updated tea when we return.
In the meantime, I’m sharing my go-to travel checklist (because without one, I dissolve into dust), and some absolute must-haves for parents on the go, especially if you’ve got a 9-year-old co-pilot who needs to be entertained for hours at a time so you can avoid hearing “Are we there yet?” on repeat.

Think: chargers, snacks, backup snacks, travel docs, and that one activity that magically keeps them quiet for 3.5 minutes. Print it, screenshot it, tattoo it on your soul, whatever helps you get out the door with your sanity intact.
📦 Got a little helper who insists on packing their own bag? There’s a kid-friendly version too! Perfect for the mini jet-setters who want to check off their own essentials (yes, including their lucky rock and five stuffies). Download it, hand over a crayon, and let them feel like part of the travel squad.
