Hugo Spritz
The summer of 2025 took us to Paris, where we spent our days wandering charming streets, admiring the architecture, and searching for good food and drinks. One warm afternoon, we ducked into a quaint little café looking for a light bite and something refreshing to sip.
When I asked for a recommendation, the waitress suggested a Hugo Spritz. One sip and I was hooked.
Crisp, bubbly, lightly floral, and incredibly refreshing, it was the perfect drink for a warm summer day. Since then, I've been trying to recreate that magical Parisian moment at home, and this recipe comes pretty close. It has quickly become my favorite summer cocktail.
Ingredients
3 oz Prosecco
2 oz elderflower liqueur
1 oz club soda or sparkling water
A few fresh mint leaves
Lemon or lime slices (I prefer lemon)
Ice
Directions
Place the mint leaves and a lemon or lime slice in a large wine glass.
Pour in the elderflower liqueur and gently muddle to release the flavors.
Fill the glass halfway with ice.
Pour in the Prosecco until the glass is about three-quarters full.
Top with club soda or sparkling water.
Garnish with a fresh mint leaf and another citrus slice.
Sip slowly, pretend you're sitting at a sidewalk café in Paris, and enjoy!
