Bougie Kid Eats: Pizza Lunchable
AG’s Pizza Lunchable: Bougie Edition 🍕
If you know AG, you know one thing for sure—school lunch is her arch nemesis. She tried it once, purely for the drama of it all, and honestly? I’ve been hearing about that tragic day ever since. It’s giving culinary trauma.
Now, I might be partially to blame here. Back when she was a baby, I was on a mission—fresh food only, bursting with flavor, no bland bites allowed. I was convinced I could outsmart the picky eater gene. Did it work? Unclear. She still rides hard for the most aggressively basic boxed mac and cheese on Earth. So… that’s humbling.
But one thing she does love? Her bougie pizza Lunchable—custom-built at home like she’s running her own tiny trattoria. She gets to DIY her little pizzas with real-deal ingredients that she swears taste “way better” than the store-bought ones (and let’s be honest, they do). Think: fluffy naan rounds, organic marinara (because only the finest for her palate), and freshly shredded mozzarella. And if she’s feelin’ fancy, maybe a sprinkle of parmesan to tie it all together. Big maybe.
We pack it all with love (and high standards) into her bento box: the marinara goes into its own little container—because soggy is not the vibe—shredded mozzarella in one section, pepperonis in another, and the naan rounds stacked like gourmet coasters, obviously. She assembles her pizza creations at school like a Michelin-starred kid on a lunch mission.
Oh—and the best part? She dips the finished mini pizzas in extra organic marinara like she’s doing a tasting flight at a pizza sommelier convention. Because apparently, crust deserves a red carpet moment too.
It’s hands-on, it’s fun, and it lets her live out her “Top Chef: Lunchbox Edition” fantasy. And yes, she judges the cafeteria offerings from her elevated lunchtime throne. As she should. 👑
